ESCANABA - Bay College invites the community to an unforgettable performance by Integration Ensemble at 7 p.m. (ET) Thursday, Aug. 27, in the Bay College Besse Center Theater in Escanaba. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
Integration Ensemble, led by acclaimed sitarist and guitarist Will Marsh, creates a musical experience that blends the ancient traditions of Hindustani classical music with contemporary world music influences. The ensemble’s innovative performances celebrate cultural connection through a dynamic fusion of melodies, rhythms and musical traditions from around the globe.
Marsh studied under sitar master Ustad Aashish Khan and earned his Master of Fine Arts in World Music Performance from the California Institute of the Arts. Through his international performances and collaborations, Marsh has developed a reputation for creating meaningful musical experiences that bring people together across cultural boundaries.
The ensemble's rich and diverse instrumentation, featuring sitar, guitar, cello, saxophone and table captivates the audience by creating a vibrant musical landscape that honors tradition while embracing modern artistic expression.
