Bay College invites community to Jen Grant, Explorations Near anar

ESCANABA - Bay College announces an exhibition, Jen Grant, Explorations Near and Far. Join us for an artist talk and reception at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, in the Hartwig Gallery on the Bay College Escanaba campus. The exhibition will be on display from Aug. 27- Oct. 1, in the Hartwig Gallery. This event is free and open to the public.
Grant’s journey is a story of rediscovery. After earning a BFA in Drawing and Painting from Northern Michigan University in 1998, she stepped away from the canvas for over 20 years. In the fall of 2023, she picked up the brush again and hasn't been able to put it down since.
Working with acrylic paint on canvas, Grant’s current collection, “Explorations Near and Far,” captures the energy of this new chapter. These pieces use vibrant colors and rich textures to interpret landscapes both familiar and distant.
