MARQUETTE -- United Way of Marquette County proudly introduces this year's campaign co-chairs: Rebecca Bartelme and Paige DuBoise.

Bartelme is the morning anchor of My UP Mornings on WBUP/WJMN-TV. DuBois is the co-owner of Queen City Running Company.

The pair will head up UWMC's annual campaign, which kicks off with Steins for Good at Ore Dock Brewing Company on Sept. 27. Tickets will go on sale soon.

"I'm excited for year two of being a campaign co-chair," said Bartelme. "The first year opened my eyes to what our true needs are here in Marquette County to live stronger and healthier lives. Having Paige join us this year is such an asset to the great work UWMC already does. I've admired her love for the community and wanting to give back in any way she can."

The UWMC annual campaign helps support UWMC partner agencies and furthers the UWMC mission - bringing people, organizations and resources together to improve community well-being. Last year's campaign allowed UWMC to distribute more than $250,000 to community organizations throughout Marquette County.

It's this community support that drew DuBois to the role.

"One of the things I love most about Marquette (and the UP) is how willing people are to show up for one another," said DuBois. "Whether it’s volunteering, supporting a local event, or helping a neighbor, giving back is part of who we are. Serving as a United Way campaign co-chair is an opportunity to help strengthen that spirit of generosity and ensure more people in our community have access to the resources they need to thrive. It also helps build awareness of all that the United Way does to support our community and its members."

Below are brief bios on each campaign co-chair:

• Rebecca Bartelme has a strong passion for being involved, connected and contributing to making Marquette County better every day. As morning anchor of My UP Mornings on WBUP/WJMN-TV, she is a community voice in not only letting viewers know the news of the day but also meeting with organizations and people who are making a difference. Partnering with non-profits is close to her heart by being on the Hospitality Team at the Mariucci Family Beacon House and volunteering her time being on the fundraising committees for the Marquette Women's Center and Special Olympics Michigan Area 36. In her free time, Rebecca enjoys running, fishing or swimming in Teal Lake and spending time with her family, especially her nieces, Cece and Rosie.

• Paige DuBois is the co-owner of Queen City Running Company, where she helps lead operations, community engagement, and event management across the company’s locations in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. A graduate of Northern Michigan University, Paige competed in both cross country and track & field, building a lifelong passion for running and endurance sports. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with minors in pre-law, physical education and coaching, and she left her mark in the

record books as a collegiate athlete. Beyond the retail side of the running industry, Paige serves as co-race director of the Marquette Trail 50 Ultramarathon, one of the Midwest's premier trail running events. Through the race and her work with Queen City Running Company, she supports numerous organizations and initiatives throughout the Upper Peninsula, fostering community connections and encouraging active lifestyles. Paige is dedicated to creating opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to connect through movement, adventure and service.
