South Shore Family Practice opens new Marquette facility

MARQUETTE -- The Lake Superior Community Partnership assisted South Shore Family Practice with the grand-opening of its new medical facility with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday at 1440 W. Ridge St., in Marquette.
Immediately following the ceremony, an open house was held with tours, light refreshments and allowed the public the opportunity to meet members of staff. The new facility represents an investment in healthcare for the Marquette community, offering an expanded, modern space designed to improve patient comfort, enhance clinical capabilities and support the practice’s continued growth.
“This new building represents an exciting step forward for our practice and the patients we serve,” said Dr. Amelia Sramek. “We’ve created a space that supports high quality care, improved access and a welcoming experience for every patient who walks through our doors.”
The practice is also celebrating the addition of Dr. Shelby Robinson, who joins the team as a family practice physician. In addition to providing full spectrum primary care, Dr. Robinson will work alongside Dr. Reinertsen and Dr. Madosh in providing obstetric care to patients.
“We’re excited for our patients to meet Dr. Robinson,” said Dr. Reinertsen. “She will be a wonderful addition to our OB team.”
“We’re grateful to have her joining us,” added Dr. Madosh. “She brings a calm, supportive presence to patient care.”
“Opening this new facility marks an exciting new chapter for our practice and the community we serve,” said Dr. Torreano. “Whether I’m caring for families in the clinic or supporting the Negaunee Miners on the sidelines, my goal is always the same, to help people stay healthy, active, and confident. I’m proud to be part of a team and a building that will allow us to deliver that level of care for years to come.”
South Shore Family Practice has been serving the Marquette community since 1988, when it was founded by Dr. Daniel Hardie and Alice McMahon, PA, and joined the following year by Dr. Mark Stevens. For more than three decades, the practice has provided comprehensive family medicine, including outpatient care, hospital care, obstetrics and end of life care. Today, the practice continues its commitment to caring for patients through every age and every stage of life, providing full-spectrum care for the whole family.
