ESCANABA - Some roadside parks operated by the Michigan Department of Transportation in the Upper Peninsula will be closing temporarily for toilet building upgrades.
The following roadside parks will be closed from Monday, July 27 to Monday, Aug. 20, for construction activities:
Alger County
• Au Train Beach Roadside Park on M-28
• Deer Lake Roadside Park on M-28
• Grand Island Roadside Park on M-28
Keweenaw County
• Snow Gauge Roadside Park on US 41
• Great Sand Bay Roadside Park on M-26
• Esry Roadside Park on M-26
• Hebard Roadside Park on M-26
Some parks may reopen before Aug. 20, if weather conditions are favorable.
