CRYSTAL FALLS – Crystal Theatre offers a retro-cool experience amidst Fungus Fest with a performance by Rosie & The Rivets at 7 p.m. CDT. Saturday, Aug. 1.
Rosie & The Rivets presents an exciting female-fronted tribute to the formative years (1954-1964) of Rock & Roll and some contemporary music with a retro twist. Along with rock & roll favorites, the audience will hear girl group, surf, soul and British invasion numbers.
Rosie's powerful and versatile voice is backed by a band with extensive theatrical tribute and roots music experience. Much research has been involved in their stage production including period correct wardrobe, hair and makeup along with vintage guitars, drums and microphones.
Members of the Rivets have worked in The Million Dollar Quartet, Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story, and The Fab Four: Beatles Tribute.
"This is not your typical 'oldies playing oldies' band," one review says. "Rosie & The Rivets are a high energy stage show that's fresh and fun for all ages."
