MARQUETTE — Marquette native Dan Mahoney, who has been performing under the name “Jimmy Mundane” for over 20 years, will be releasing a new collection of songs:“Generation Jones” on July 11.

This is his 11th full album release, beginning with the “No Pose” album in 1994. “No Pose” was the first album released in CD format by a Marquette area native. A former board of directors member of Hiawatha Music Coop, Mahoney played in bands throughout the region until he moved into an education career in 2006.

He was a founding member of the local favorite “Foreign Born Irish”, which evolved since into “Knockabouts UP” in his absence. He also co-led several local rock bands which included many Marquette Area Hall of Fame members.
