MARQUETTE – The Art Drop Shop & Studio has announced its grand re-opening at its new location, 129 W. Baraga Ave., Suite H, in downtown Marquette. Community members are invited to celebrate from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15.
Located behind Everyday Wines and next to the Cheese Cave, the new space marks an exciting new chapter for the nonprofit organization, which previously operated from the Masonic Building before transitioning to hosting pop-up art events throughout Marquette County.
The Art Drop Shop & Studio is dedicated to making creativity accessible by providing affordable, gently used art supplies, creative projects, workshops and a welcoming space where people of all ages can explore and express their creativity. The new location allows the organization to offer a permanent home for these resources once again while creating opportunities to expand partnerships with local businesses and organizations throughout Marquette County and the Upper Peninsula.
"We're thrilled to reopen our doors and welcome the community into our new space," said Joel Siegel, co-owner of the Art Drop Shop. "This location gives us a fresh start and allows us to continue our mission of making art more affordable and accessible while creating a safe, creative environment for everyone."
Guests attending the grand re-opening will have the opportunity to explore the new shop and studio and learn more about the organization's mission.
Please note that the Art Drop Shop & Studio will not be accepting art supply donations until after the grand re-opening.
