Volunteer drivers needed: Local orientation June 16

MARQUETTE — Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly OF Marquette is inviting community members to learn more about becoming volunteer drivers at an upcoming orientation at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 16. The session will take place at the LBFE office, 131 W. Washington St., Suite C, Marquette.

LBFE is seeking compassionate volunteers to assist older adults in the community by providing non-emergency medical transportation. Reliable transportation is one of the biggest barriers facing seniors and ensuring they can attend vital medical appointments is essential to their health and well-being.

Volunteering is flexible, participants can give as much or as little time as they like. Even providing one ride per month can make a meaningful difference for an elder neighbor in need.

Those interested in volunteering or attending the orientation are encouraged to call 906-273-2575 to reserve a spot. More information is also available at lbfemichigan.org.

Join LBFE in helping older adults stay connected, healthy and supported in the Marquette community.

Starting at $3.23/week.
