MARQUETTE — With considerable research work already under way and further expansion in this field planned for the near future, the Cliffs Dow Chemical company, it became known yesterday, is contemplating material enlargement of its Marquette properties–enlargement, however, which will depend on the success of the research program now being carried on. E.T. Olson, general manager, commenting on reports from the east which slated that the company was planning “vigorous expansion” of its properties, declared that the present construction work was only for “improvement of existing processes and not the enlargement of out plant here.”
