Portage Lake Lift Bridge lane closures for bridge washing June 1-4

HOUGHTON ­- Crews from the Michigan Department of Transportation will perform routine bridge washing on the Portage Lake Lift Bridge between the cities of Houghton and Hancock from today through Thursday. These cleaning operations will require lane closures.

Motorists should expect intermittent lanes closures on the bridge between 8:30-11:30 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. each day.
