NPS summer reading program starts

NEGAUNEE — Summer reading will began at the Negaunee Public Library on Monday. Babies, toddlers, children, teens and adults are all welcome to participate in the free programs.

Children and teens ages 0-17 will receive a free book, sponsored by a grant from the Pizza Hut Foundation and summer reading kit upon registration and can earn more prizes by completing their reading logs by Saturday, Aug. 1. Adults can fill out a slip for every book they read or audiobook they listen to for chances to win great prizes from local businesses, which also ends Aug. 1.

Please note, youth can sign up through mid-July to participate; also, if Negaunee Public Schools’ summer vacation is delayed, children ages 5-17 will have extra time to complete their reading logs.

For more information, contact the library in person, visit the library’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/NegauneePublicLibrary/, or call 906-475-7700, extension 18.

Starting at $3.23/week.
