Baraga Community Memorial Hospital seeks community input for strategic planning

L’ANSE — Baraga Community Memorial Hospital is inviting all community members in its service area to participate in a series of listening sessions as part of a strategic planning process.

This initiative is designed to gather vital community input to ensure the hospital is working towards providing the precise care the community wants and needs.

Everybody in the BCMH service area is invited to attend and share their thoughts and priorities for local healthcare. BCMH CEO Rob Stowe will be on hand at the sessions.

Community Listening Session Schedule

The community is encouraged to attend any of the following four sessions:

– Wednesday, June 17, 4 p.m.: Eagles Club in Ontonagon.

– Tuesday, June 23, 5 p.m.: Covington Multipurpose Building.

– Tuesday, June 30, 5 p.m.: Ojibwa Senior Center.

Baraga County Memorial Hospital, which is a 15-bed critical access hospital, has a history rooted deeply in community effort. The hospital opened in October 1952. Next year BCMH will celebrate its 75th anniversary of providing care to the community. BCMH looks forward to engaging with its service area residents to help shape the future of healthcare delivery in Baraga County.
