MARQUETTE — From 6-8 p.m. Monday, May 18, at the Peter White Public Library Shiras Room, adults, seniors and teens are welcomed to join Writers on Writing, a new programming series where seasoned published authors of various genres lead participants through writing exercises and workshops to hone their writerly talents.

May’s writer is Kathleen Heideman. An award-winning poet and environmental advocate, Heideman uses language to explore the fragile state of the human condition through creative written and artistic expressions.
