Jerry Murphy, commander of VFW Post 6, delivered a $400 check to Michigan Veteran Homes D.J. Jacobetti to sponsor fruit trays during National Fruit and Veggie Month and to sponsor MVHDJJ's Tribute to VSO Show. It is through donations collected by VFW's poppy program that Post 6 is able to support veteran programming like this. In early May, VFW members will be out in our communities with the red crepe paper poppies so they can continue serving veterans.
