St. Vincent de Paul to hold annual volunteer appreciation mass, dinner
MARQUETTE – The Marquette District of St. Vincent de Paul will hold its annual Volunteer Appreciation event on Saturday.
Hosted by the St. Peter Conference of SVdP, Mass will be held at 4 p.m. at the St. Peter Cathedral in Marquette. Afterward there will be a dinner in the church hall. A video featuring volunteers from Gwinn and Marquette will be shown during the dinner.
Each year, this event honors the 200+ generous volunteers and their dedication to the mission of SVdP. District President Karen Reese will lead the program to thank all of SVdP’s volunteers for their hard work and willingness to help those in need.
The Marquette District, established in 1963, includes Marquette, Gwinn, Trenary, Munising, Big Bay and Skandia. Its Marquette and Gwinn locations provide the community with clothing, furniture, medical supplies and financial assistance. All district locations provide access to food. We rely on donations from our generous communities and volunteers to further our mission of neighbors helping neighbors.
