MARQUETTE — The Marquette Alternative High School is hosting a Run for the Trees: Happy Little 5K today.

The course will begin at the Presque Isle Pavilion and head south on the foot path along Peter White Drive toward the city multi-use path connection at Peter White Drive and Lakeshore Boulevard. The course continues west and then south on the city multi-use path along Lakeshore Boulevard to the turn around point between Hawley Street and Wright Street and then returns to the Presque Isle Pavilion on the same route.

The race will begin at 10 a.m. and finish at approximately 12:30 p.m.

Road crossings include Peter White Drive near the Presque Isle Concession Stand and Lakeshore Boulevard at Hawley Street.

No city streets will be closed for this event and the public is asked to use caution while driving in these areas.
