Legion post 44 Memorial Day activities on tap
MARQUETTE — The Richard M. Jopling American Legion post 44 will pay tribute to the women and men who gave their lives for this country. Two services will take place on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25.
A 9:30 a.m. service will be held at Park Cemetery, followed by a 10:30 a.m. service at Holy Cross Cemetery in the city of Marquette. The Marine Corp League, Vietnam Veterans of America, VFW, DAV, Sons of Union Veterans of Civil War, Scouts, Elks Ritual Team, Post 44 Auxiliary along with Jill Weingarten (singer) and Scott Stobbelaar (taps) will be a part of these services.
Light snacks and refreshments will be served following the second service.
