MARQUETTE — Oberstar Inc. will be completing restoration work of the concrete crosswalk on East Washington Street at the Lakeshore Boulevard intersection, which will require a full road closure for the installation and curing of the concrete.

East Washington Street, from Front Street to Lakeshore Boulevard, will be closed to local and through vehicular traffic now through Monday morning, May 11. The sidewalk on the north side of Washington Street will remain open for pedestrian traffic only.

Eastbound vehicular traffic will be detoured south on Front Street to Main Street, east on Main Street to Lakeshore Boulevard, then north on Lakeshore Boulevard.

The public is advised to take caution when traveling through this area and to be alert for construction and advisory signing.
