Keweenaw to host the 2026 Michigan Sustainable Tourism Summit

HOUGHTON — The Keweenaw Peninsula will host the Michigan Sustainable Tourism Summit from May 20-23, with tourism, conservation, hospitality and community leaders coming together to discuss the future of responsible travel.

The event will focus on practical strategies that help destinations grow visitation while protecting natural resources, cultural assets, and quality of life for residents. The summit will include expert speakers, collaborative discussions, and field experiences that highlight sustainable tourism in action.
