Houdini to perform
WATERSMEET — On Oct. 24, at exactly 7 p.m., escape artist Aron Houdini, a distant nephew of Harry Houdini, will perform at Northern Waters Casino Resort in Watersmeet, just north of Eagle River, Wisconsin.
This performance will take place exactly 100 years to the minute after Harry Houdini’s final performance, which also occurred in Michigan. The performance is a tribute performance to honor Harry Houdini on the 100th year anniversary of his death on Oct. 31, 1926.
Aron Houdini, who previously held residency shows in Las Vegas, Tunica, Branson, California and Biloxi, and has performed nationwide including appearances on national television, the World’s Greatest Magic, the World’s Most Dangerous Magic, is semi-retired from magic in 2017 to focus on family life in the northwoods Wisconsin where he works in tourism.
In 2025, he returned to performing, once again touring across the country, in Kansas City, Las Vegas, Chicago and more, and has since chosen to present a special Houdini Tribute Show in his home region at Northern Waters Casino Resort.
This once-in-a-lifetime event will feature a magic, mind reading and illusion show culminating in “The World’s Most Dangerous Escape,” a live, high-stakes tribute in which Aron Houdini will attempt to escape a straitjacket while confined in a crate with the world’s most venomous snake, the Inland Taipan. Having secured an Interstate Commerce Transfer for the snake, securing a $20 million insurance policy for the event, the show is a go.
This is more than a performance, it’s a rare convergence of history, legacy and modern spectacle. With strong public interest already demonstrated by VIP tickets selling out in 4-minutes, we believe this story offers exceptional value for your audience across television, digital, and print platforms, and helps us honor a Wisconsin resident, Harry Houdini, who formerly called Appleton, Wisconsin home.
