Gogebic Community College selected as one of Aspen Institute’s Top 200 U.S. community colleges
IRONWOOD — Gogebic Community College has been named one of the top 200 community colleges in the nation by the Aspen Institute, making it eligible to compete for the 2027 Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence.
The recognition is based on student outcomes including retention, completion, transfer and bachelor’s attainment, placing GCC among a national group of two-year institutions delivering measurable results. The next phase includes the top 25 being announced in April and the top 10 finalists selected in June.
This is notable national recognition of GCC’s role in building workforce and transfer pathways in the Western U.P. that help students succeed and communities retain talent.
