Gas prices jump
MARQUETTE — Average gasoline prices in Michigan have risen 21.4 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $4.01/g today, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 4,913 stations in Michigan. Prices in Michigan are 2.9 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and stand 99.8 cents per gallon higher than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has decreased 9.2 cents compared to a week ago and stands at $5.408 per gallon.
According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest station in Michigan was priced at $3.44/g yesterday while the most expensive was $4.99/g, a difference of $1.55/g. The lowest price in the state yesterday was $3.44/g while the highest was $4.99/g, a difference of $1.55/g.
The national average price of gasoline has risen 7.0 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $4.04/g today. The national average is up 5.7 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 94.3 cents per gallon higher than a year ago, according to GasBuddy data compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country.
