Presentation on birds in offing
GWINN — Gary Palmer, Gwinn Are Community Schools science teacher and avid birder, will present a refresher on the birds returning to the north woods this spring.
On Tuesday, April 14, in the Community Room at Peter White Public Library, Palmer will be presenting an overview of many of the migrants that can be found throughout the Upper Peninsula as they travel back to breeding grounds. From golden eagles and northern goshawks to Blackburnian warblers and indigo buntings, he’ll look at the diversity visible at this time of year and provide tips to help identify them in the field.
The 7 p.m. event is hosted by the Laughing Whitefish Bird Alliance and is free and open to the public.
