NPL to hold poetry/short story night

NEGAUNEE — The Negaunee Public Library is offering a poetry and short story night at 5 p.m. Thursday, April 9. This is a recurring event that meets on the second Thursday each month, but all are welcome to attend.

Bring your own work or share a poem or story from your favorite writer or collection. This is a creative space to share the love of writing with others. This program is free and all are welcome to attend.

The Negaunee Public Library is hosting local poets Troy Graham and Soph at 5:30 p.m. Monday, April 13. Graham, who is also a singer-songwriter, has been working hard this past year at writing his best collection of poems to date. Sophia Bartolotta, aka Soph, is a local creative that does a little bit of everything like painting, music and poetry. She takes her inspiration from the idea of human experiences and has been actively writing and creating while pursuing studies at NMU for Art Education. The public is invited to attend this free poetry reading.
