New book of poetry out
MARQUETTE — From Marquette Arts Writer of the Year winner and the author of the Hunter Lake novel series, B.G. Bradley, comes “North Words: A Year in Poetry” published by Benegamah Press. Bradley’s new collection of 367 poems of all seasons and varieties, one for every day of the year and a few more is now available at Snowbound Books in Marquette and Snyder’s outlets throughout the Upper Peninsula.
“These are the poems written early in the morning over the course of one year in my little office on the second floor of my little house in the middle of the woods in the U.P. They concern trees, stones, water, animals seasons, lots of inner conflict, family, hopes dreams, flights of fancy, love, hate, wistfulness, longing, regret, guilt, contentment, solace, tears, laughter, hard rock revelations, remembrances, visions, temperatures and people of every variety. They were written in and concern our U.P., the one we share and live together,” Bradley said.
