MARQUETTE — Due to the near record snowfall, the city of Marquette has experienced this year, there is very little room for snow to be plowed or piled safely. City crews continue to remove snow from roadways and sidewalks for the safety of drivers and pedestrians.

Therefore, it is necessary that the winter parking ban be extended from Wednesday, April 1, until Wednesday, April 15. This extension will help Department of Public Works crews work safely and more efficiently in the event we receive further snowfall.

The hours of enforcement for the winter parking ban are 1-6 a.m. daily.
