Ishpeming Rock and Mineral Club session rescheduled
ISHPEMING — The Ishpeming Rock and Mineral Club is changing their meeting from March 15, 2026 to Sunday, March 22, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. at the Cliff Shaft Mining Museum, 501 W. Euclid St., in Ishpeming. The change is due to weather concerns this entire weekend.
Karen Brzys (aka, “The Agate Lady”), and world-renowned agate expert, from Grand Marais, will enlighten us on her new book, “Agates and Their Story,” which is in the process of being published.
Also, some of Brzys’s previous books will be available to purchase.
Doors will open at 1 p.m. to allow members and visitors time to bid on silent auction specimens and to view the club’s mineral collection. The program will start at 1:30 p.m. A door prize drawing, a 50/50 drawing and a business meeting will follow the program.
Everyone is welcome to attend, enjoy, and learn about the wonders of rocks and minerals. There is no admission charge.
