Holocaust Remembrance Service planned

MARQUETTE — Temple Beth Sholom and the Marquette Interfaith Forum present a Holocaust Remembrance Service at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 14 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 201 E. Ridge St., Marquette.

This annual evening of remembrance will join the Marquette commmunity together to honor the genocide endured by the Jewish people. We will gather for offerings of word, music, and prayer.

The evening’s keynote address will be delivered by writer, instructor and photographer Annette Gendler. In her books “Jumping Over Shadows” and “How to Write Compelling Stories from Family History” Gendler explores themes of overcoming the legacy of the Holocaust through love and writing about generations of family life and story.

Additional remarks will be shared by interfaith community members and musical accompaniment will be provided by the Marquette Male Chorus, Marquette Senior High School Chorale and Elizabeth Grugin.

Join Annette Gendler and organizers, afterward, for an informal dessert reception. The reception will be across the street at Temple Beth Shalom for community, fellowship and discussion.

Starting at $3.23/week.
