Evolution of womens’ bathing suits to be considered

MARQUETTE — What’s the connection between bathing suits and women’s right to vote? Join organizers at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, as Carrie Moon-Dupree, director of development for the League of Women Voters of Michigan, showcases her collection of vintage to modern swimwear, tracing the style changes as a mirror of the changing history of women’s rights in the United States.

This fundraiser at the Marquette Regional History Center for the League of Women Voters of Marquette County will support its efforts to provide non-partisan voter education, voter registration and candidate forums. The event will begin with refreshments and social at 5:30 p.m. Presentation starts at 6:15 p.m.
