City-wide egg hunt and kids Easter egg hunt

MARQUETTE – Starting March 30, United Way of Marquette County kicks off the 11th annual City-Wide Egg Hunt.

Twelve eggs will be hidden throughout the greater Marquette area with clues posed on Facebook twice a day. The hunt continues through the week until all eggs are found and winners will receive a great gift basket from local shops. This is a free family friendly event open to everyone. The eggs are not always easy to find but you are sure to learn something new or explore an area you have not been to before.

“This is always a great event to get people outside learning about and exploring our community” says Andrew Rickauer, event organizer. “I love seeing families out hunting for eggs together and learning about some of the local history that build our community.”

Following the City-Wide Egg Hunt is the Kids Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 4 at Presque Isle. This is more of a traditional Easter Egg Hunt with over 7,000 toy filled eggs “hidden” in the green space at Presque Isle. We will have snacks available, a fire truck for the kids to explore and even the Easter Bunny will be roaming around the hunt.

The hunt starts at 11 but it’s recommended that participants arrive before 10:30 a.m.

Starting at $3.23/week.
