ESCANABA – The Bay College/Lake Superior State University Regional Center chapter of Business Professionals of America student club raised $800 in donations for the Local Area 1 Special Olympics program of Delta, Schoolcraft and Menominee counties through the Chain of Love fundraiser.
To participate in the Chain of Love fundraiser, donors wrote the name of a loved one on a link and added it to the chain. As a result, a long chain of love was created. The proceeds from this fundraiser help cover costs associated with the Local Area 1 Special Olympics program, such as purchasing uniforms, equipment, and travel for all athletes.
Chain of Love Event Champion Haylee Gatien stated, “Getting to see that final chain presented on the 7th truly shows how much love we have throughout our community. Thank you to everyone who donated and to those who helped support our local Special Olympics; this could not be done without you!”
