MARQUETTE – The Northern Michigan’s University’s men’s basketball team qualified for the GLIAC postseason tournament Thursday night with a 83-61 victory over the Ferris State Bulldogs at Hedgecock Fieldhouse. The Wildcats were let by Mike Gibala with 25 points.

MARQUETTE – Sales of 1966 license plates in Marquette are slightly ahead of last year at this time, but with the February 28 deadline looming, some 2,500 remain to be sold locally. That was the news today from Gertrude Jandron, manager of the Michigan Secretary of State Branch in Marquette.
