LWV to hold membership session
MARQUETTE — The League of Women Voters of Marquette County, a nonpartisan political organization that encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major policy issues and influences public policy through education and advocacy, will hold its next general membership meeting at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, March 11. Social time begins at 6:30 p.m.
The meeting will be held in the Shiras Room on the second floor of Peter White Public Library, 217 N. Front St., Marquette. Come learn about the League’s Observer Corps. Volunteer observers will describe the local governmental groups they opted to observe and share what they’ve recently learned.
