Concert set at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church
MARQUETTE – St. Paul’s Episcopal Church of Marquette will host a benefit concert featuring local artists and choral groups at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 1, at the church located at 201 E. Ridge St. The concert is a celebration of community and the power of music to bring people together.
Artists performing will include Michael Waite, Jimmy and Kristen Ludwig, Liz Grugin Mahoney, Janis Peterson, Dani Simandl, Adam Hall, Eric Marta, Harry South, St. Paul’s Choir and other local artists. Music will include James Taylor’s “Shed a Little Light,” “Light of a Clear Morning,” beautiful string music and original works by local artists.
Admission will be free and donations will be accepted. All donations will benefit community groups in Minnesota through Stand with Minnesota. Stand with Minnesota is a directory of a wide variety of community groups in Minnesota affected by recent events. Donors can choose from a large variety of community groups – from school groups, to medical assistance, to rent relief, to food assistance, to helping small businesses, even pet and animal assistance or diaper funds.
