L’ANSE — The Baraga County Chamber of Commerce and Michigan Works! have announced that The Finn’s Bar and Grill has been selected as the 2026 Business of the Year. The award was determined by member vote on Feb. 19 during the chamber’s Annual Meeting and Member Appreciation Dinner, held at the L’Anse American Legion.

More than 80 attendees enjoyed an evening featuring live music, dinner, raffle drawings, prizes and the annual meeting as the Chamber celebrated local business achievements and community partnerships.

A Message from the Chamber President

“The Finn’s Bar and Grill represents exactly what makes Baraga County special,” chamber President Debbie Stouffer. “They honor their history, they welcome everyone who walks through their doors, and they continue to reinvest in ways that strengthen our community. We’re proud to recognize their commitment and excited to see what they build next.”

The Finns Bar and Grill is a unique grill and bar located in Skanee. Originally built in 1939 and rebuilt in 2012, they offer a diverse menu featuring burgers, pizzas, wraps and sandwiches. Buck and Cass have been the proud owners since September 2023, having grown up in the area just a mile away
