MARQUETTE — From 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, an introductory workshop on Tai Chi and Qi Gong will be held at Messiah Lutheran Church, located at 305 W. Magnetic St., in Marquette.

Tai Chi is a mind-body practice that improves balance, increases flexibility and regulates the immune system. No prior experience is necessary. A portion of the workshop will focus on the Tai Chi ball form.

A donation of $25 is invited. The workshop includes a healthy, nutritious brunch. Proceeds go to underwrite the pro bono work of The Cedar Tree Institute, a nonprofit organization that provides services and initiates projects in the areas of mental health, interfaith collaboration and the environment.
