Session on anger, fear, grief in offing

MARQUETTE — Meditate Marquette is offering a day of Gathering in Difficult Times on Friday, Feb. 6.

In response to current events, a day is being set aside to join others in attending to the impact these events are having on us individually and collectively. The intention is to gather as a community and acknowledge, grieve, and process current events using mindfulness-based practices.

The intention is not to debate, fix, activate, or persuade, but to be present with grief, sadness, anger, fear and uncertainty in a grounded and compassionate way. Three sessions are being held throughout the day. One may be attended or more than one, or all of them. Sessions are being held at 10-11:30 a.m., noon-1 p.m. during 4Cs (Cultivating Care, Compassion, Connection) and 2:30-4 p.m.

Sessions are free and open to everyone but donations are accepted. For more information, email meditatemarquette@gmail.com.

Starting at $3.23/week.
