NEGAUNEE — The Negaunee Public Library will begin hosting a weekly “quiet storytime” for younger children at 11 a.m. Mondays, beginning today. There will be short stories accompanied by soft voices and sounds, sensory-friendly movements and a fidget-friendly area.

“We know that kids have a hard time sitting still and can sometimes be overwhelmed by noise, which is why we are providing a quiet, sensory-friendly story time,” said Arwen Luttenton-Hamel, the library’s programming coordinator.
