Local beekeepers to meet

MARQUETTE — The Superior Beekeeping Club will host “So You Want to Keep Bees?” at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library inMarquette, presented by club president, Katie Aucott.

Come learn about must-haves, pros and cons, garb and equipment, seasonal workload and cost commitments. This short, 2-hour session will help you decide if you want to make the commitment to keep your own bees/hive this year. Organizers will take signups for their mentorship program, available to any who wishes to participate.
