MARQUETTE – Marquette Exchange Club members James H. Luke and Leonard Johnson recently took time to man the Salvation Army’s kettle post on West Washington St. One day each week during the Christmas season members of the Exchange, Lions, Kiwanis Clubs and the Jaycees take over the bell ringing chores for the Salvation Army. Funds are used for the Salvation Army food basket program for the needy at Christmas. The organization raising the most money for the corps gets a trophy. The Exchangers, who use a bathtub to spur collections, have won the award for several years. Johnson was seen calling for contributions over the loud speaker system while Luke rang the bell to call attention to the kettle shelter.

Starting at $3.23/week.
