Rotary clubs battle polio
Three Rotary clubs in Marquette County celebrated the success of October's Pumpkins Against Polio event. The combined effort of the Rotary Club of Marquette, the Marquette Harbor Rotary Club and the Ishpeming Rotary Club raised $1,638.03. With the 2-1 match from the Gates Foundation, $4,924.03 was raised to stop polio now effort of Rotary International. Polio has been eliminated in all but two countries at this time.
