Gov. Whitmer names Negaunee resident to top state board

NEGAUNEE — Gov. Gretchen Whitmer announced appointments to a variety of boards and commission this week. 

Rachael Prusi, of Negaunee, a licensed pharmacist and director of medical pharmacy strategy at Prime Therapeutics, was named to the Michigan Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. The committee advises the Department of Health and Human Services on issues affecting prescription drug coverage for its various health care programs. The committee shall recommend to the department guidelines for prescription drugs covered in its various health care programs.   

Prusi holds a masters of global health from Northwestern University and a doctor of pharmacy from Ferris State University. She was reappointed as a pharmacist for a term commencing Dec. 4 and expiring Oct. 1, 2027.

This appointment is not subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
