ISHPEMING — Partridge Creek Compost has announced the search for a new executive director.
Since its founding in 2023, PCC has built a fully permitted, Part-115 compliant composting facility, launched a thriving curbside compost service with over 450 customers, and worked with local municipalities, schools, and private partners. As the organization enters a phase where revenue diversification and operational scale are critical, the Board has determined that new leadership with entrepreneurial business development expertise is key to unlocking its next stage.
“Partridge Creek Compost has laid an extraordinary foundation in waste diversion, soil regeneration, and community engagement,” said Dan Perkins, board chair. “Our next leader will have the opportunity to build on that foundation and turn mission into sustainable impact.”
The new executive director will be responsible for expanding earned income, stewarding operations and compliance, managing the team and representing PCC externally. The position is being publicly advertised with applications accepted through Nov. 30.
Current Executive Director Phil Carter added, “I remain passionately committed to PCC’s future. What we need now is someone with fresh business muscle who can help meet the realities of a revenue-driven model.” Carter will transition out of his staff role and assume a position on the board of directors.
PCC invites qualified candidates who are mission-driven, entrepreneurial and hands-on to apply and help lead the organization into its next chapter of regional impact and financial sustainability.
