Marquette County Habitat for Humanity launches GivingTuesday Campaign to help keep our neighbors warm
MARQUETTE — This GivingTuesday, Marquette County Habitat for Humanity invites the community to come together to “Help Keep Our Neighbors Warm.” The organization has set a goal to raise $5,000 to assist with emergency furnace replacements for local homeowners in need.
When a furnace fails in the middle of an Upper Peninsula winter, it’s not just an inconvenience, it’s a crisis. Through its Home Repairs Program, MCHFH provides furnace replacements to ensure families have safe, reliable heat during the coldest months of the year. Each furnace replacement typically costs between $5,000 and $6,000, making community support critical to meeting urgent needs.
“We see firsthand how devastating a heating emergency can be for families living on a limited income,” said Henry Morley, Ramps and Repairs programs manager of Marquette County Habitat for Humanity. “Every donation this GivingTuesday helps us respond quickly when a furnace fails and keeps our neighbors safe and warm through the winter.”
GivingTuesday, celebrated on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2025, is a global day of generosity that encourages individuals and organizations to give back to their communities. All funds raised will directly support MCHFH’s efforts to address heating emergencies across Marquette County.
Donations can be made online at mqthabitat.org/donate or by mailing a check to Marquette County Habitat for Humanity 2354 U.S. 41 South, Marquette, MI 49855.
