Fire & Ice: A Michigan Geology Tour set for PWPL
MARQUETTE — At 7 p.m. Thursday in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library in Marquette, Fire & Ice: A Michigan Geology Tour will take place.
Today, Michigan is a state full of flat farmland, rolling hills, jagged cliffs, and everything in-between – and all together, those different landscapes tell a story that stretches back billions of years. It’s a tale about how Michigan has changed throughout the eons and by learning it, attendees will start to realize that every rock has a story of its own.
Science writer Alexis Dahl will take attendees on a tour of Michigan’s geology, in the characteristic style from her Michigan-centric series on YouTube. Afterwards, there will be time for a Q & A.
There will be a suggested donation of $5 for an adult and $10 for a family.
