MARQUETTE — The Toys For Tots annual campaign began on Oct. 1 and will continue through Dec. 13.

The Lake Superior Detachment 764 of the Marine Corps League has placed donation boxes throughout various businesses in Marquette County for collection of new and unwrapped toys. For those who prefer not to shop, monetary contributions can be made via the Toys For Tots website (toysfortots.org) by selecting the local campaign for Marquette County.

All donations — both monetary and toy — remain within Marquette County. Donated and purchased toys will be distributed to local St. Vincent DePaul stores, Salvation Army locations and foster families in the Upper Peninsula.

We encourage community members to support local families in need this holiday season.
