Soo Line group to meet
GLADSTONE– The Gladstone Michigan Soo Line Steam Engine #730 Authority will hold its regular Monthly meeting at 4:30 p.m. today at 819 Delta Ave., Solid Rock Church.
An update will be given on the current status of work done at the locomotive site. Ideas for long-term future objectives will be sought for the Historical Museum and Welcome center. They will will be at the Gladstone Farmers Market on Sept. 15 Selling T-shirts, Sweatshirts and Coffee Mugs, Also we will be a part of Downtown Days on Sept. 27.
Donations continue to be sought for perpetual care of the train into the future. New donations can be made for the future Gladstone/Soo Line Historical Museum as land is being sought and building plans are being formalized.
All Donations are being accepted by the Community Foundation for Delta County, 2420 1st Ave. South, Escanaba, Michigan. 49829. Checks may be made out in care of Soo Line #730.
