Memorial breakfast raising money for community programs
ISHPEMING — The Kiwanis Club of Ishpeming is hosting their annual Ray Leverton Community Fundraising Breakfast this coming weekend.
The menu includes Italian eggs, scrambled eggs, ham, sausage, hash browns, pancakes and toast. Coffee and orange juice will also be served.
Attendees can pay at the door on arrival and the cost is $12 per adult, $5 for children ages five to 12 and children under five are free. A 50/50 raffle will also be held during the event. Proceeds will go to the Ray Leverton Memorial Playground at the Lake Bancroft Pavilion, Bay Cliff Health Camp, the Ishpeming Carnegie Public Library’s summer reading program and other local children’s programs.
The breakfast will take place from 8-11 a.m. on Sept. 28 in K/D Hall at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, located at 325 S. Pine St., Ishpeming.
