Bay College honors Amy Gibbs with TORCH Award

ESCANABA – Bay College congratulates Amy Gibbs, Bay College’s TORCH Award recipient for the September-November 2025 quarter.
Amy began at Bay College in July 2021 as director of TRIO SSS. She was promoted to Dean of Student Success in October 2022, and now serves as director of Career and Workforce Development. She has been nominated by multiple colleagues, who are quoted anonymously, below, for her strong dedication to the mission of Bay College and her unwavering commitment to student success:

Her empathy toward colleagues stands out, fostering a strong sense of trust and enhancing team collaboration. Additionally, Amy takes the initiative to encourage open communication, making others feel valued and motivated to contribute, which strengthens the team’s unity and productivity.”

The purpose of the TORCH Award is to give personal recognition to those employees on Bay College’s campuses dedicated to the mission of the College because of their attitude, commitment, and dedication toward the higher education learning environment.
